Just a quick note from the EGIHL Executive on behalf of all members, as we wish both Dave Pegg and Mary Mailhot speedy recoveries. Both are on the mend after suffering separate medical episodes this past week. Our thoughts and prayers go out to both and their families as we hope to see both at the rink very soon!

Ties In Playoff Standings:
When two teams are tied in the playoff standings, the tie-breaker rules are as follows:
1. The winner of the head-to-head playoff game will be awarded the higher position.
2. If still tied, the team with the most playoff wins will be awarded the higher position.
3. If still tied, the team with the best goal differential will be awarded the higher position.
4. If still tied, the team with the better head-to-head regular season record will be awarded the higher position.
5. If still tied, the team finishing higher in the regular season standings will be awarded the higher position.
6. If still tied, the team with the best regular season goal differential will be awarded the higher position.
7. If still tied, a flip of the coin will determine the team with the higher position.
When more than two teams are tied:
1. The team with the most wins will be awarded the higher position.
2. If still tied, the team with the best playoff goal differential will be awarded the higher position.
3. If still tied, the team with the better head-to-head regular season record will be awarded the higher position.
4. If still tied, the team finishing higher in the regular season standings will be awarded the higher position.
5. If still tied, the team with the best regular season goal differential will be awarded the higher position.
NOTE: A team may be eliminated from the tie-breaker when they fall out of a tied position (for example, if three teams are tied and two of them have 3 wins and one has 2 wins, the team with 2 wins will be out of contention for the tie-breaker) and the rules continue for the remaining tied teams. Once you get to only 2 teams tied, start with rule 1 of the 2-team tie-breaker format.

It has been 7 years since our friend, Andrew Klauke, suffered a tragic injury that left him paralyzed from the waist-down. He has continued to work hard to regain as much mobility as possible and continue life as normal as possible. His business, Klauke Carpentry, continues to operate as he maintains a busy family life with his wife and 4 daughters.
Andrew celebrated his 40th in May with a bunch of family and friends at the Blue Jays game.
