For decades, the league has counted on Mary to show up on Tuesdays to work the clock. She was a fixture in the EGIHL and will be sorely missed and fondly remembered for her dedication to our league. For those who also played in Newmarket and Aurora beer leagues, you likely saw her at the rink as her timekeeping skills were sought after by several leagues in York Region.
Mary made it easier for the league organizers as she was able to fill in names and numbers on the games sheets as she quickly learned the names for most of the guys in the league. And most of us knew her as well. For those that took the time to chat with Mary, you knew she had a sharp wit and an infectious laugh. It won't be the same without her.
Her husband, Steve, was a GM and player in the league for many years. And her children, Brittany and Brandon, picked up the timekeeping trade from Mom and we can only hope they continue to be part of our family.

SPIRIT AWARD
The Andrew Klauke Spirit Award was deservedly given to Mark Stolte this year. Since 2012, Mark has been a partner with the EGIHL through his companies, EmbroidMe and Fully Promoted. He has donated prizes and awards to GMs, players, champs, and has provided loot bags for golfers over the years with no fanfare. He has unselfishly donated funds many times, on the down low, to help players and charities.
HALL OF FAME
Former league president and HOF inductee, Ted Dzialowski, introduced this year's member, Steve Woolridge, with a token of appreciation. Steve just completed his 25th season in the league and has been a player, GM, sponsor, and president during that time. Steve was a key figure in opening the league from 8 teams to 12 teams and creating the Open and Masters divisions. He continues to assist by creating the league schedule and updating this website, the one he created 20 years ago with almost a half million visits in that span.

It has been 7 years since our friend, Andrew Klauke, suffered a tragic injury that left him paralyzed from the waist-down. He has continued to work hard to regain as much mobility as possible and continue life as normal as possible. His business, Klauke Carpentry, continues to operate as he maintains a busy family life with his wife and 4 daughters.
Andrew celebrated his 40th in May with a bunch of family and friends at the Blue Jays game.
